It's been quite a while since we've last posted to say the least and well a TON has happened since then. But i guess we'll get into that some other day. This post is about our crazy-fun-and-happily-engaged couple Victoria and Brian.
Victoria and Brian are a super active couple that love to do everything outdoors...in other words they do everything Lauren and I think about doing except we revert to dining at our favorite local restaurant instead =) Needless to say, we definitely wanted to capture their fun loving/active nature in they're Engagement photos but while also mixing it up with a few "drop it like it's hot off the press" magazine style shots!
Victoria+Brian...I was THIS close to posting your crazy 5 foot jump/dive on Brian shot but I restrained myself =) haha Seriously, we definitely LOVED how these turned out and we hope we captured you two the way you both envisioned. You guys were super fun and we can't wait for your wedding! =)

If you've been with us for a while, you know that any as much as we show our "work" (aka weddings etc.) on our blog, we always try to share Haydn's big life moments =) ....and in this case it was her first Halloween costume!! FYI...you can thank Lauren for this one. I wanted to make her a baby zombie but obviously, that didn't work out haha. Instead...for her first Halloween, she was Cleopatra =)
Here are two shots showing more detail of our costume...
Being the smart parents we are, we didn't bring cash so with what we scrounged up in our pockets we came up with a total of $8...just enough for some funnel cake and much needed H20...
Finally before we called it a day, we went to go see the cool hot air balloon. Was it awseome looking? Yes. Did we want to wait in a long line for it? No But was Haydn amazed? Yes she was...
Oh and just in case you were wondering why Haydn wasn't smiling in, oh umm, all the pictures...haha..it's because she just woke up....another smart move by us. =) Don't worry, we'll get it right eventually!

Happy Friday everyone...
The month of June, for the rest of my life, will always be a pretty cool month for me...well with December following a really really close second. Its because of mainly two things, maaaybee three...Our Anniversary, Father's day and my birthday (a distant third).
Anyway, Saturday I got an early gift. Driving home, the sky was amazing, light was perfect and we happened to stumble upon this amazing spot so what do we do?! We race home, grab our equipment and shoot =) So random but that made it all the better.
So with that said, fast forward to Sunday. While at service I got a chance to pray and I started looking back, thinking about my beautiful two girls in my life, and how He's allowed Lauren and I to share a love for photography together and I couldn't help but thank God for His goodness and cry tears of joy. It was an awesome time of reflection. I mean seriously...if you told me 5 years ago if I'd marry my best friend, start a photography business that we both love, have a beautiful baby girl and be able to use my wife as a model?! I would've probably thought you were crazy. Well, lo and hold, that's exactly where I am today.
I love you Lauren (or Owen) and thank you for making June one of the best months of the entire year.

One of the things that's always important in our world of photography is to constantly be shooting. Like any craft, instrument or sport, the more you practice or do what you love, the better you get. So as we strolled into the new year without hardly noticing (thanks to Haydn) one of the first things we wanted to do was put together a shoot to start getting our creative juices going again. Come early Feb, thanks to our assistant Christian, we were able to schedule a weekend, find a couple more than willing to be our models, pin down a location and make some cool new friends all at the same time! =)
Meet Stephanie and Saxon ...definitely one of the coolest couples we've been blessed to have crossed paths with! We have to admit though, after working with these two, we're totally bummed we won't be shooting their wedding but regardless, we know they're going to look great in their photos =)
To Stephanie and Saxon, thanks again for being our models...we had a blast with you guys! So when's sushi?!! =)

John and "O".....This was such an amazing time with you! Not only did these turn out FANTASTIC, but you gave Brian and I a great bonding experience. These are more than what I expected.
