One of the coolest parts of being in our business is meeting the close friends/family of the Bride and Groom and sharing and experiencing the wedding day (or days in some cases) as it unfolds.  This was definitely the case with Erin+Justin.

Real quick story about the day...
When we first met these two one of the things we talked about was shooting in Costco.  Why? Well, it's a long standing tradition that during any of their friends weddings, they would all make their way to Costco and have a pizza!  How cool is that?!  Of course, once they said that, our minds went off the creative end and thought of ways to take that even further! =)  Long story short, on their wedding day, not only did we they have a pizza, but with the OK from Assistant Warehouse Manager (thanks Glen!) we had basically free reign to shoot anywhere we wanted!! =)  Oh yeah, and as you can tell from the group Costco pic below, the management team loved every minute of it!!!

Details at a wedding are cool so we try to not to miss them...

The bride and groom at a wedding are even cooler so we definitely try not to miss them!...

When Lauren and I decided to shoot weddings we knew we'd be working long hours on weekends which of course, can be a daunting task for anyone starting out...but when we meet a couple like Karen+Joe, those thoughts always seem to go away. Remember this engagement shoot?? Karen+Joe don't know this but last year, after the first time we met about their wedding,  as Lauren and I got into our car, we were extra giddy because we knew, right from start, there was chemistry!  And in photography, especially for Weddings, chemistry is HUUGEE!!  We knew that not only were we going to shoot a super fun couple but even cooler, we thought we had just made some really cool friends =) It was really really really hard to pick some of our favorites because we loved all of them but here they are starting with the details... The first thing we saw when we walked in to Karen's room, well besides Karen's glowing face was this amazing beam of light that shined through the small window.  This and the pic at the top was two of the by products of that cool light =)

 We wanted to take advantage of the awesome light during the afternoon sunset so during the reception, we snuck out for more picture taking =)

We LOVE this shot.  This seriously was a close 2nd to our favorite photo of the day. BUT! this took cake!   Don't they just look so comfortable together??!!  If we LOVED the last photo, we LOOOVE this one...like a lot. =)

Last time we had seen Dina + Chris was during their Engagement Session over in Old Town Pasadena back in July.  But let me just say that nothing has changed with these two since then...they're still one of the most chill and sweet and in love couples we've shot yet. They're wedding/reception was at Tivoli Two! over in Laguna beach and like most of the Bride and Grooms we get to shoot, they agreed to meet before hand and have some alone time before the day got crazy =)  Dina got ready at this really cool little bed and breakfast with a sweet door and all so we decided to use this as the spot =)

 

 If you could see where and how I got this shot, you'd probably be laughing your butt off!  I could just imagine what Dina was thinking when i asked her to stand there..hahah.  I got this shot lying on my back with just my head propped up for this shot!  Anyway, I'm glad I did and it's exactly what I invisioned before I took it =)  It's probably one of my favorite shots of the day =)...

We then got the Wedding Party involved.  Here's probably one of my favorite groomsmen shots...can you guess which one he is? =)

We absolutely love this shot of their first dance...

OK and this one too!  There's just something so imtimate about this shot that we love...

And lastly, here's a random shot that Lauren got while I was elsewhere.  I love working with my wife =)...especially because she gets cool shots like this =)

With everything from a traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony to a 400+ guest reception it was definitely an action packed day.  Regardless, Linda was radiant and Dennis was always right there by her side to keep her smiling =) Here are a few photos of the day followed by their slideshow. Off camera lighting makes me happy =) We caught this just at the right moment as the flash of another camera illuminated her veil...one of our favorites.
